Last night, Enter Shikari announced that their upcoming album, The Spark, will be releasing on September 22nd. They revealed the details via a surprise show for their fans in London at the Borderline. In addition, they’ve also dropped a new single off the record, “Live Outside,” to further raise anticipation for its release. If that single isn’t enough to get you excited for what’s to come, it’s important to note that this is said to be Enter Shikari’s most melodic creation to date.

Frontman Rou Reynolds had the following to say about The Spark,

“The spark is a new connection, a new beginning. It can be short and insignificant, but it can create something so significant. The spark is that light at the end of the tunnel – when everything seems to be falling apart, but you’re able to see some sort of path out of the dark.”

They will also be playing a couple shows in support of The Spark. Their next London show will be at the 10,000 capacity Alexandra Palace on November 25th, and is part of their 2017 arena tour. They’ve also announced their only US show of the year thus far; An all-ages album release party at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on Saturday, September 30th. Entry is limited to those who preorder The Spark in the store.
