On March 16th, March 23rd, March 30th, April 6th, and today, April 13th, As Cities Burn have posted the same link to their Bandsintown page, inviting fans to track their activity. As we know, the band were active from 2002 to 2009, then took a hiatus and returned in 2011. For now their Bandsintown site still states, “As Cities Burn does not have any upcoming tour dates,” but with their recent Facebook posts, it is our belief that they are going to announce a tour soon. Their last recorded tour was in 2015 for their 10 year anniversary of Son, I Loved You at Your Darkest.

Their last release, Hell or High Water, left everyone wanting more. In 2015, two singles were released, “Prince of Planet Earth” and “Goldmine,” showing us that they still wanted to make music together, but weren’t quite yet in a place to release a full-length. Could this recent activity be the sign that we’ve all been waiting for? I mean after all, they have toured together so often and made 2 songs together within recent years, so it seems they are ready, but it’s definitely up to the band and if they ever make the decision to record again, we definitely want it to be at a time that they feel is completely right. We can dream though, right? With all of these bands reuniting again to make records, like Saosin officially reuniting with Anthony Green to make Along The Shadow, it’s bound to be a year full of pleasant surprises.
