Major label no more! Sum 41 have announced that they have signed with Hopeless Records, which featured bands such as Neck Deep, The Used, Taking Back Sunday, and Yellowcard for their upcoming album. Now the guys get to enjoy all the perks and creative freedom of a smaller label while already having amassed an enormous following from their major label days. Sounds like a win, win here. Sum 41 are releasing their new album sometime this year, after a successful crowdfunding campaign on Pledge Music. You can check out updates on the bands Pledge Music page to keep up with the latest album news. As of April 5th, the band released the following update:

Hi Everyone, We know we’ve been quiet recently, but it’s for good reason. The album is almost done! It’s in the final stages, being mixed and then mastered. We’re really proud of the new material …

As of now we don’t have a solid release date for the album but we’ll be sure to keep you updated! Take a look below for the Hopeless Records announcement Sum 41 posted to Facebook earlier today. What are you hoping to hear from the record? Let us know in the comments!
